Overworld Skills System Explained

The Overworld skills system is the game’s heart. Instead of a single XP bar, every meaningful action feeds a specific skill. Fight to raise combat skills, mine to raise Mining, chop to raise Lumbering, cast to raise Magic, and so on across eleven tracks.

• XP is activity-based: you only improve what you use.

Combat vs gathering balance

That feedback loop is more honest than memory. If a skill never moves, either schedule it or drop it from your story. Also watch how quests inject permanent stats—those bumps sometimes matter more than two raw skill levels, so keep questing even during obsessive grind weeks.
